Citrus is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to architect and scale our healthcare claims data foundation.
You will build the infrastructure that ingests, normalizes, and attributes national medical and pharmacy claims — ensuring our platform delivers reliable, longitudinal, facility-level commercial intelligence.
This is not generic ETL work. It’s about building defensible data systems that pharma leaders can trust for multi-million-dollar decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing
Design scalable ingestion pipelines for medical and pharmacy claims
Normalize and structure data for disease-level and facility-level attribution
Build performant data models optimized for commercial analytics
Maintain refresh workflows and longitudinal consistency
Ensure transparency in cost fields, attribution logic, and metric derivation
Collaborate with product and analytics to translate business logic into data architecture
Who We’re Looking For
You have deep experience working with complex healthcare datasets. You understand adjudication lag, payer-provider structures, and the nuance of cost fields.
You think about lineage, auditability, and governance as first-class requirements.
Strong SQL and distributed data processing experience
Experience with large-scale healthcare datasets
Understanding of de-identification and regulatory considerations
Experience designing data models for analytical consumption
Comfort collaborating with product and domain experts
We value rigor, reliability, and thoughtful system design.
